She was sitting in the common room, tears had streamed down her cheeks softly. She had just had her first break up, with a seventh year. Why? He had tried to take her virginity, and that was not some card you could swipe. But the real reason she was crying, cause he started to feel her up, and the only way she had gotten out of there was by putting a langlock on him, and hiding. She was trembling softly, glad that no one was there, she couldn't handle embarrassment, trembling so softly. She was trying her hardest to regain composure, but let out a soft sob. She buried her face into her knees. She couldn't tell anyone. She knew that well enough.

He watched from the shadows, his gray eyes taking in the sobbing form of the girl he knew as Asteria. She was a third year, one that he didn't know too well, but well enough to know th at something was bothering her. Even if she hadn't been crying her eyes out he would have been able to tell. It was like a sixth sense that the fifth year Slytherin had. He could tell that she was having difficulty getting herself back together, but really, what could he do about it? It wasn't even his place. It's not like the two of them were the best of friends who told each other each detail of the horrid lives they lived. Shaking his head slightly, the male decided it would be best if he went and asked what was wrong. Not something he usually did, but because she was a Slytherin -and cute- he would make an exception. Slowly, he made his way over to where she sat, tears streaming down her face, and he spoke quietly. "You alright," Draco asked.

Asteria didn't know that anyone was watching her. If she had known, she would have been up in her room. Heck, she would have been so far away from here in a moment's time. She heard someone speak, it was Draco! Draco. What was he doing there? She wiped her tears quickly. I'm fine. She choked out quickly. She felt her eyes were all puffy, she just looked down quickly, and didn't want to speak to him. Draco was all that was good and male. Handsome, cunning, devilish, handsome, and smart. He was jsut perfect, in so many different ways.

The blonde arched a brow as Asteria said she was fine and he scoffed in disbelief. "Right, you're so fine that you're sitting here in the common room crying to point of hysteria," he said sarcastically. Moving to the other side of her, Draco took a seat on the sofa and looked at her, his gray eyes probing into her head, trying to understand what was going on. "No one cries because they're fine, Asteria," he said. He came off the heartless bastard, but when someone like Asteria was clearly in distress, he made it his job to figure out what was going on.

She pursed her lips and rolled her eyes. Of course. Perfectly chipper Draco. She snapped back, she groaned. Sorry. She never snapped a fellow slytherin. Why did he bother asking. Did he seriously want to know every goddamned thing that was wrong with her life? Well he was not allowed to know! But, she was eventually going to say it anyway. I do. She lied simply. She didn't care. Slytherins lied all the lots. She wasn't going to walk around telling people. Oh, I got felt up!

At her sudden snap, he seemingly sucked in his cheeks, making them even more hollow than they originally appeared. As she apologized he remained quiet and waitied for her to reply to his comment of no one crying because they're fine. As she said she did, the male rolled his eyes and shook his head. "You don't fool me as well as you do everyone else. But if you want to keep believing that, then you just do that. Forget I even bothered asking," he said, snapping in return. He stood swiftly and began to walk off.

Asteria frowned. She didn't like getting lectured, specially not by him. Heck not by anyone! She knew she couldn't fool him, he saw her crying. But inside she had been crying all day. Fine. She said standing up, heck, she'd get it out, and if he wanted to know so badly, he'd know! My ex tried to rape me, happy? She said snapping her head away from him, she closed herself up. Body wise. She slouched a bit, held her elbows, and looked down, her feet together. She turned away, starting to just get out of there. Probably go up to her dorm, and crash there crying more.

As Asteria stood and said fine, Draco paused and waited to hear what she had to say. The words that next left her mouth caused his body to tense and his blood to boil. Turning around swiftly, he looked at her, his gray eyes cold with an urge to beat the hell out of someone. It was true he was a Slytherin and that he was a cold-hearted bastard, but there was no way in hell that rape -attempted or successful- was acceptable. As she began to walk away, Draco reached a hand out and gently grabbed her at the elbow. "I'm sorry...I...I had now idea," he murmered, his eyes still slightly cold.

Astoria didn't want to hear apologies, she didn't want to talk to him anymore. She didn't want to talk to anyone. She felt a pair of eyes burning into her back. She was pretty much ready to puke, but that would be unladylike like and rather ungraceful. She had gotten away, but she didn't have to go through with it, thank heavens. She felt him grab her, she couldn't cry anymore. She was forcing herself not to. She shook her head. It's whatever now. She muttered and started to try and get away. she wanted to get away from him.

A sigh escaped his lips and he wished he knew where the hell this ex of hers was. If he knew, chances were that he'd beat the living hell out of him. However, he didn't know and he didn't really feel like being expelled, but if it was fighting for Astoria's safety, Draco was willing to take the risk. But she was the only one he would do it for. Weird.
Shaking it off, he noticed that she was trying to get away and he instantly released her. If she wanted to leave, she could. Malfoy wouldn't hold her against her will. "It's not 'whatever'," he stated softly. "But if that's how you really feel, then so be it. I can't do a bloody thing about it," he said, his cold side returning. If she didn't want his sympathy, then he wouldn't show it.

Her grandmother's words rang clearly through her ears: A real lady would never burden anyone with her petty problems. Her ex? She didn't want to know where her ex was. And if she did, she'd get on the exact other side of the school from him. She wanted nothing to do with him, or any other boy at the moment. She just wanted to curl up into a ball and cry everytime she thought about it.
A shell, that was what Astoria needed. She would not burden him. It is Draco, 'cause what can you do about it? Nothing. He's a 6th year, and I'm a 3rd year. Who do you think they'll belive. She said flatly shaking her head. No one would belie her at this point.

Listening to her words, the male knew that he couldn't be a cold-hearted bastard to her. No matter how much she aggravated him. "With me and mine in the middle of it, they'd believe you. That's one thing I'd make sure of," he told her. He hated when the authority believed people because of what year they were in, but there was nothing he could do about it.
"I'm not going to make you do anything and I'm not going to say anything to anyone, but..." Draco trailed off and simply shook his head. He didn't know what else to say when it came to this. "I don't get why you won't say anything more, but I'm not going to ask for anything else."

She was genuinely shocked that Draco wasn't as mean to her when they were alone. She didn't purposely mean to aggravate him. Though, it was amusing sometimes. He offered to back her up with the good old Malfoy army that he had secretly. And that boy got anything he wanted. I couldn't ask that of you or anyone Draco. She said softly shaking her head. It's sometimes easier to grin and bear. She said looking down with a soft sigh. She knew the battle was one that was hopeless to fight.
I don't want to say anything because the more I say it, the more I admit it actually was real. And I wasn't having a nightmare. She said quietly. She was a child, and she did tend to dare show her real age from time to time. That was one of those rare times. She tended to be very mature for her age, which was from her grandmother forcing her to be. But there were times, where her true age would slip out.

"You can't ask it of me if I'm offering to do it for you," Draco said softly, looking at Asteria with a slight smile. He hated seeing her in tears, though he wouldn't admit it to anyone outside of...well...himself. Malfoy would fight tooth and nail to keep Asteria safe, with or without her knowledge. Regardless of what she said, he would speak to his friends about keeping an eye on her.
"Chances are if you don't say anything or don't talk about it, then you're going to end up having nightmares...Waking up in the middle of the night with a scream escaping your lips," he stated. Draco hated showing the softer, kinder side of himself, but for some reason, he always seemed to end up doing it around Asteria. Odd.

She didn't really see why he was offering. Thank you Draco, but it's fine. I'll live. She said with a soft smile to him. He was so nice, and sweet. You could see why the girl was majorly crushing on him. She didn't want to make this a big deal, and there was no way that she was going to let him. She didn't need to be taken care of. So it was best that she didn't know.
She smirked. You just wish I'd scream your name. She teased, she did have a dirty side to her. She went back to a serious note. No, I'm all dried up at the moment. I am fine. She ran her hands through her hair. She tucked her bangs behind her ear. She was nicer to Draco as well. She just couldn't be mean, probably because she was afraid of him.
